Christmas Networking Cocktail at Kusmi Tea Champs Elysées

What better setting for a brilliant end-of-the-year networking cocktail than the Champs-Elysées, with it’s festive illuminations? And when the weather turns too cold for comfort, no place is nicer than a beautiful tea shop such as Kusmi Tea and their Café Kousmichoff on the first floor.

On Dec, 9th, fifty-or-so EuropeanPWN Paris members looking for the last opportunity to network in 2013 were warmly welcomed by the Kousmichoff team with a drink and petits-fours. Conversations come alive for friendly exchanges and members circulated around the elegant bar highlighted by colorful spots. Guests has the choice between alcoholic cocktails and teas with names that evoke exotic journeys and far away places…

Representatives of Kusmi Tea and Le Café Kousmichoff, Ghislaine and Boris, talked us through the history of Pavel Kousmichoff who created his own brand nearly 140 years ago. The Russian started as a delivery boy in a tea shop at age 14 and thanks to a "happy" marriage, which grandly pleased his boss, he was offered a store in 1867 and the brand was launched,... with quite a bit of female support! The Kusmi Tea brand ultimately became French in 1917.

The special teas stand out on the market: with a beauty and well-being range as well as their distinctive colorful packaging - Kusmi is resolutely innovative..

Martine and Sandy, presidents of EuropeanPWN Paris,  shared their ongoing commitment to continue developing events to offer each of us multiple opportunities to meet and network, as well as to increase cooperation with external groups.

The Christmas Networking Event was also an opportunity to launch a Call for Volunteers for the Best Of Day, that will take place on June 13th 2014, with a kick off in early January. Volunteers are now welcome to rise up to the challenge of creating a different and even better event than the previous ones!

Unfortunately the evening ended too quickly but with many new project ideas, people reconnecting, and a desire to return to Café Kousmichoff for a working breakfast, an afternoon tea or a tasty dinner... Plus great gift ideas for the holiday season!

The Events Team hopes that you enjoyed the wonderful events we have prepared for you in 2013. We will come back with more surprises in 2014, and in the meantime, we look forward to seeing you on January 13th for the Galette des Reines

A big thank you to all the volunteers of the Events Team and Happy New Year to all of you!
