With nearly 25 years’ experience in the publishing industry, Agnès Touraine is one of France‘s pioneering women leaders. In a publishing industry where women account for 80% of employees but men still hold most management positions, Agnès Touraine has been instrumental in grooming a whole new generation of women for leadership.
Agnès served as CEO of Vivendi Universal Publishing until 2003 after building the multimedia business from scratch with the creation of Liris Interactive, which later became Havas Interactive. She was previously VP Strategy at Hachette after an initial experience with McKinsey.
She holds a degree in political science from Sciences Po and an MBA from Columbia University. She is Venture Partner for JVP and was previously on the boards of Liberation and Cable & Wireless.
